Why does the app need microphone access?

The microphone is used only to measure the live sound level while measuring. Audio is analyzed in real time and never recorded, stored, or uploaded. You can revoke the permission anytime in iOS Settings.

How accurate are the readings?

iPhone microphones are not calibrated laboratory instruments. Readings are suitable for everyday reference; for accuracy-critical use we recommend a dedicated calibrated sound level meter.

Where is my measurement history stored?

Locally on your device only. Deleting the app permanently deletes its data.
